The Argentine is one of Mikel Arteta’s most important goals in the January transfer window, as the Arsenal coach seeks to add more creativity to his midfield.
Buendia starred for Norwich in the Premier League last season and the 24-year-old has been in great shape this season with seven goals and seven assists in the tournament.
Arsenal are said to be willing to offer players as part of their bid for BuendiaNorwich claimed 40 million pounds for the midfielder.
Reports also claimed Buendia will be looking to push for a move to Arsenal if Gunners increases their interest this month.
But Buendia insists his only focus is on performance in favor of Norwich, who are currently four points ahead of the championship lead.
He was asked if his goal was to return to Premier League“Yes, I always say it,” Buendia said in an interview with Radio Residencias in Argentina.
“It is the best league in the world, and it is the one that makes the difference at all levels.
“Any team makes life difficult for anyone, it’s very complicated. The organizational level is excellent, the stadiums have a lot of history, the soccer playing conditions are perfect, there are no excuses. The players and the teams are the best.”
I aspire for the best and work every day to return to it, whether in my team or through the transition. Returning to prime minister in the short term is a dream.
It is true that there was a lot of talk in the summer, after relegation, about the possibility of the team leaving me and my other team-mates to continue the Premier League.
However, I’ve always been club focused. I belong to Norwich, and I have to do things well for my team.
Tomorrow we’ll see, but I never found my head out of goals, to work until my team does well.
With the start of this season we are doing well and I’m very happy to be here. We’re in good shape, I feel important, I’m scoring goals and making assists for my team-mates.
