Diablos Rogos and Pericos open a watershed series in the southern region

Mexico City. – The Red Devils of Mexico and Pericos de Puebla will face each other once again, and now they will be in one of the two Southern Zone series, the third encounter they will play in the 2022 season.

The Crimson Gang returns to the Diamonds after eliminating Aguila de Veracruz in four matches. The Poblanos were defeated in six duels by the Leones de Yucatán, but were left with the top losers named, making them rivals to the capital.

In the 2022 regular season, Rojos and Pericos met six times, three at CDMX and three in Puebla, ending the balance in favor of Colorado 4-2, who won both encounters.

With that backdrop, Diablos and Pericos will face each other again starting on Saturday, in the District Series to win four out of seven games, in which the Reds have a court advantage at home, so they open this weekend at Alfredo’s Harp Hilo.

After overrunning Egaila, the Red Devils faced five days without playing. Monday was a day to travel, while from Tuesday to Friday they held two training sessions and two simulation matches to help their players not lose their rhythm against the Pricos.

After the first two games, the series will move to Puebla, where matches are scheduled to start Tuesday through Thursday at Hermanos Cerdan Stadium.
