HAVANA, Oct 25 (EFE) – Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said Tuesday that his country will ratify its commitment to “unity” at the CELAC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting to be held in Buenos Aires.

“We will endorse Cuba’s commitment to unity in diversity in the face of great common challenges,” the island’s foreign minister wrote on his Twitter page.

Speaking about his participation in the CELAC meeting on Wednesday, Rodriguez noted that this will be “an opportunity to discuss issues of regional concern and further strengthen the mechanism of political agreement and integration.”

Argentina, which holds the interim presidency of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States for 2022, will host representatives of the 32 member states of the Latin American group to discuss “15 courses of action”, including the post-pandemic economic recovery, the regional health strategy, and the “CELAC” strategy. Anti-corruption and food security agenda.

The foreign ministers will also talk about dialogue with partners outside the region. Infrastructure integration of Latin America and the Caribbean; Environmental cooperation and improving the conditions and conditions of women in member states.

The meeting aims to renew the strategic link based on historical, cultural and human ties, and to strengthen ties so that relations can reach their full potential.
