Cuba marks the 50th anniversary of the reintegration of the People’s Republic of China into the United Nations

Havana, October 25 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez BarillaThe Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba today welcomed the 50th anniversary of the reintegration of the People’s Republic of China into the United Nations.

The foreign minister stressed on Twitter that Cuba is honored that it has struggled with other developing countries to restore the legitimate rights of the Asian nation, as the sole representative of the Chinese people before the said body.

Another message from Rodríguez Parrilla in the aforementioned social network expresses that China is a factor of balance and protection of world peace.

“We endorse our coincidence in rejecting hegemony, the use of force, double standards, politicization and stigmatization, and defending the principles of international law,” wrote the head of Cuban diplomacy.

Due to a maneuver by the United States and allied countries, which sought to isolate China diplomatically, the latter was excluded from the United Nations, and not returned until 1971.

Prensa Latina reported that at the celebration of the 50th anniversary of reunification, the head of the Asian giant country, Xi Jinping, called on the world to choose cooperation over confrontation, choose openness over isolation and choose mutual benefit over zero-sum games.
