BTS’s Jungkook becomes the first Korean soloist to score a top 5 hit on the Official UK Singles Chart with his debut single “3D.”

On October 6 local time, the Official Charts (usually considered the British equivalent of the Billboard Charts in the United States) announced that Jungkook’s new single “3D” (featuring Jack Harlow) had debuted at number five on the Official Singles Chart.

Jungkook now becomes the first Korean solo artist in history, and only the second artist overall, after his group BTS, to debut with two different songs in the top five on the official singles chart.

Prior to “3D,” Jungkook’s official debut single “Seven” (featuring Latto) entered the chart at number three in July, setting a new record for the highest debut for any song by a Korean solo artist.

“3D” also topped three different official charts this week: the song debuted at number one on the Official Single Sales Chart, Official Single Downloads Chart, and Official Singles Chart, as well as entering the Official Airplay Chart at number one. 19.

Both “3D” and “Seven” will be included on Jungkook’s upcoming debut solo album “GOLDEN,” scheduled for release on November 3. (Check out the latest trailer for the album here).
