BTS’s Jimin has become a K-Pop soloist to reach the highest position on the Official UK Charts with “Set Me Free Pt.2” debuting in the Top 30.

On March 24 local time, the UK’s Official Charts (generally considered to be the UK’s equivalent of Billboard’s US) announced that BTS’s Jimin had set a new record with his debut on List of official singles.

In the week of March 24-30, Jimin’s new pre-release track “Set Me Free Pt. 2” debuted on the Official UK Singles Chart at No. 30. With this new entry, Jimin is now a chart-topping K-pop artist. single and first with a top 30 UK single entry.

Just a few weeks ago, Jimin’s BTS bandmate J-Hope made history as the first Korean solo artist to debut in the Top 40 of the Official UK Singles Chart with his collaboration with J. Cole “On the Street.” at No. 37. Jimin is now the fifth BTS member with a UK Top 100 entry, with his other solo entry being Jin’s “Astronaut” at No. #61, Jungkook’s song “Stay Alive” (produced by Suga) at No. #89 and RM “Indigo”. on the Official Albums Chart at number 45.

As a group, BTS has four songs that charted in the top 10 on the official singles chart, including “Dynamite”, “Life Goes On”, “Butter” and “My Universe” featuring Coldplay. On the UK’s Official Albums Chart, BTS had two No. 1 songs with “Map of the Soul: Persona” and “Map of the Soul: 7”.

Earlier today, Jimin released his debut solo album “FACE,” which features the title track “Like Crazy.”
