Argentina proposes to AMLO to create an axis with Lula against inequality

The President of Argentina, Alberto Fernandez, suggested to his colleague from Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, the creation of an Axis against social inequality, along with a subsequent government headed by Luis Inacio Lula da Silva in Brazil.

Lopez Obrador, in a message posted on his Twitter account on Sunday, said that his Argentine counterpart from South America responded to a message sent to him and delivered by his wife, Beatriz Gutierrez Muller, who represented her in various activities in Argentina and Chile.

“My friend Alberto Fernandez responded to my letter with a beautiful, true and fraternal political declaration,” stressed the Mexican president, who participated in the text.

In the letter, Fernandez recalled Lula da Silva’s recent visit to Mexico and suggested that Lopez Obrador offer the support of both countries to the former Brazilian president, who announced his intention to run again for the presidency of his country in the upcoming October elections.

Fernandez said Lula’s eventual government “will allow us to strengthen MBAs (Mexico, Brazil, Argentina), a pivot around which the region’s policies can be geared in pursuit of better democratic quality and fundamentally more equitable distribution of income.”

“We must never forget that we live in the most unequal continent of the world,” said the Argentine head of state.

At the beginning of March, the former Brazilian president met Lopez Obrador at the National Palace, the seat of the Mexican executive in Mexico City.

The two politicians revealed that among the topics they discussed, Latin American brotherhood and the struggle for equality and social justice were distinguished.
