In statements to the press, the spokeswoman said that President Alberto Fernandez appreciates his participation in the event, from which Washington excluded Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela.

He added that in addition to defending the participation of these countries, Argentina believes that the US president, Joe Biden, should have a dialogue with Latin America as a whole.

During his visit to Germany, as part of a recent tour of Europe, Fernandez urged the event’s organizers to reconsider their position.

In addition, he notes that the severe consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic in the region show that dialogue and cooperation are essential tools for the well-being of peoples.
