New soil assays at the Uncle Terry prospect suggest the gold-bearing structure at Lolworth may run far wider than ECR's maiden drill programme tested.
ECR Minerals (AIM: ECR) has released the remaining assay results from a roughly 1,500-sample soil programme at its wholly owned Lolworth project in North Queensland, with 31 samples returning at least 100 parts per billion gold and a top result of 608ppb, prompting the company to widen its interpretation of the gold-bearing structure at the Uncle Terry prospect.
The results have led ECR's geologists to reinterpret the principal NNW-trending structure at Uncle Terry as gold-bearing, distinct from the north-east shear zones that show a stronger tie to silver, and to identify a second parallel NNW gold trend to the north-east that had not previously been drilled.

The significance for investors lies in the fact that ECR's maiden 2025 drilling campaign, 28 reverse circulation holes for 1,058 metres across Uncle Terry and Gorge Creek West, was concentrated on the north-east structures rather than the newly favoured NNW gold trend. That programme returned intercepts including 2m at 3.57 g/t gold from 14m and 5m at 0.47 g/t gold from 14m, alongside silver hits such as 1m at 15.0 g/t silver, confirming a shallow gold-silver system but leaving the broader NNW structure largely untested.
Lolworth spans approximately 946 square kilometres, making it one of the largest tenements in ECR's portfolio, and the company believes the gold trend could extend south towards similarly aligned structures at Gorge Creek West, potentially knitting together a considerably larger mineralised corridor than first mapped.
ECR's technical team will fold the new soil geochemistry into its structural model and is now pushing for a broader diamond core drilling programme to test the NNW gold structure at depth, the newly found parallel trend, and the link to Gorge Creek West, with further exploration details expected as planning progresses.
