Morena posted a spot indicating that the governor of Tamaulipas, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, was imprisoned in Texas for stealing weapons and that there are DEA charges against him for his links to organized crime.

The video shows the party’s national president, Mario Delgado, who asserts that “some of the PRP and PNP rulers rule like gangsters. Their corruption, actions and collusion are covered; that’s why they are now united in a coalition, because they cling to power.”

“This is not the first time that Governor Brian has been accused of this type of crime, but it is the first time that we have a fully independent attorney general in charge of implementing measures to prevent any governor from being above the law,” he says.
Delgado accuses the political parties of opposing “the existence of an independent attorney general’s office until justice that the people of Mexico have waited for many years to achieve.
“But the people of Mexico have already woken up, and in 2021 they will choose to transform again to cut off the head of corruption once and for all.”

On February 23, the House of Representatives reported that it had received a request to remove the jurisdiction of Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca for possible organized crime, working with illicit resources, and equal tax fraud.
In connection with this request, PAN – the party to which Cabeza de Vaca belongs – said it is “a deceptive use of justice where there is no crime. A political attack is being organized”.
For his part, the governor assured that he had never broken the law and that he would defend himself “against any assault.”
