Investing.com – British shares rose at the close on Friday; Gains in sectors, pushed indexes higher.
At the close in London, the index was up 0.14%.
Best value for session in Kant okado group PLC (LON 🙂 is up 4.82% or 21.00 points to settle at 456.80 at the close. It was followed by EasyJet PLC (LON :), which advanced 4.65% or 13.60 points to close at 306.30, and Safe Plc (LON :), which rose 3.88% or 27.60 points, to end the session at 739.40.
To the tail of the cursor is over Frenelo PLC (LON 🙂 which fell 3.57% or 26.00 points to close at 702.20. For its part, BAE Systems PLC (LON:) decreased 3.51%, 28.80 points, and closed at 790.80, while Rio Tinto PLC (LON 🙂 lost 2.59% or 126.50 pips to close at 4.00.
The greens beat red on the London Stock Exchange by 1,161 to 634, with 447 closing flat.
Gold futures for December delivery fell 1.73%, or 29.00 to $1.00 an ounce. Among other commodities, crude oil futures for November delivery fell 4.16%, or $3.71, to settle at $85.40 a barrel, while Brent crude futures for December delivery fell 3.31%, or 3.13 to $91.44 a barrel.
The GBP/USD pair was down 1.42% to 1.12, while the EUR/GBP was up 0.89% at 0.87.
The dollar index rose 0.87% to 113.23.
