Investing.com – British shares fell at close on Monday; Decline in sectors, pushing indices down.

Bottom of the index was EasyJet PLC (LON :), which fell 7.19%, or 56.13 points, to close at 724.47. For its part, International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (LON:) reduced 7.16%, 10.85 points, and closed at 140.75, while ITV PLC (LON:) lost 6.68%, 7.11 points, to 99.34.
The red numbers outnumbered the green numbers on the London Stock Exchange by a difference of 1,560 to 768, and 59 was the same.
Gold futures for February delivery fell 0.49%, or 9.10, to $ 1,847.10 an ounce. Regarding other commodities, crude oil futures for March delivery slipped 0.57%, or $ 0.30, to settle at $ 51.97 a barrel, while Brent crude futures for April delivery slipped 0.42%, $ 0.23 a barrel.
The GBP / USD fell 0.22% to 1.3655, while the EUR / GBP pair fell 0.15% to 0.8880.
The dollar index rose 0.29% to 90.470.
