January 22, 2021, 8:52 amQuito, January 22 (Prensa Latina) The National Electoral Council of Ecuador has today prepared a new tool that allows consultation and verification of the polling place, for the public vote scheduled for February 7th.
Depending on the details, the voter will call 150, then his identity card numbers, and he will be able to access the required information.
The call will also let you know if the person has been elected as a member of the councils that receive the vote, a mandatory task for those who have been selected.
The service will be operational 24/7 for 15 days, including Election Day.
“The purpose of this new advisory tool is to reduce the level of absenteeism in the 2021 general elections,” the council stated in its bulletin.
In addition to this new option, voters can access the same information through the website cne.gob.ec, the official website of the highest electoral authority, as well as through the CNE mobile app.
The upcoming elections will determine the next president, vice president, members of the National Assembly, and Andean parliamentarians.
Since December 31, 17 competing political movements have campaigned for legislative positions, while 16 organizations have presidential candidates.
Meanwhile, the Military Geospatial Institute is developing the printing of all electoral materials, except for ballot papers for Andean parliamentarians, whose list has not yet been determined, due to pending appeals in the Electoral Dispute Tribunal.
