The defence engineering consultancy lifts revenue visibility past £9.1m and moves to reassure investors on dilution fears.
RC Fornax (AIM: FRNX) has secured a second UK government contract worth around £350,000 and moved to calm investor nerves by ruling out an equity raise, sending shares up 5% in early trading.
The rally offers some relief for shareholders who have watched the stock drift lower in recent months, with the fresh contract win and management's explicit rejection of dilution risk giving the market reason to buy back in.

The award, made through the government's Public Sector Resourcing framework, covers project management support for a government client over an initial six months, with a potential six-month extension that would push the total contract value to between £650,000 and £700,000. It follows a separate £4m selection through the same framework announced recently, taking RC Fornax's revenue visibility for its 2027 financial year beyond £9.1m.
Alongside the contract news, the company confirmed it had reviewed its funding options and concluded it was not considering an equity fundraising, saying it wanted to avoid diluting existing shareholders. Management said it did not expect the core business to require additional funding as it moves towards generating monthly cash, though it is still assessing whether to put a working capital debt facility in place.
For a small-cap trading at current levels, ruling out a placing is significant, since any meaningful raise would have diluted holders heavily. Investors will now watch for further contract awards under the government framework and confirmation of monthly cash generation as proof points that the funding review conclusion holds.
