Italy reports increase in Covi-19 cases last week

ROME, June 11 (Prensa Latina) Italian health authorities said today that new cases of Covid-19 have increased by 28.7 percent in the past seven days, compared to those recorded in the previous week.

During the period from June 4 to 10, 121 thousand people were infected with the SARS-Cov-2 virus in Italy, an increase of 27 thousand and 99 from 93 thousand 901 infected between May 28 and June 3, the issued report identifies. This Saturday by the media.

The Italian Deputy Minister of Public Health, Andrea Costa, recently indicated that conditions are in place to eliminate the use of masks indoors, and the implementation of this decision is being evaluated as of June 15.

For his part, Health Minister Roberto Speranza stated that he supports ending the mandatory use of these means of protection in cinemas and theaters, but the government is still debating whether this flexibility will be extended to transportation.
