China and Uruguay believe the commitment of cooperation in defense in the anniversary of EPL

Montevideo, August 1 (Xinhua) – China and Uruguay authorities have expressed their commitment to peace and bilateral cooperation in defense as part of the celebration in Montevideo from the 98th anniversary of the Popular Liberation Army (EPL) in China.

“China pledges to follow the path of peaceful development and wants to cooperate with all countries of the world so that the light of peace continues to shed light on the planet,” said Colonel Wang Shway, a defensive total of the Chinese embassy in Uruguay.

“Despite its difference in size, the armed forces in China and Uruguay are striving to contribute to world peace,” Wang said.

He pointed out that China is the largest country that provides forces between permanent members of the Security Council and “the second largest financial tax motivation for United Nations peace maintenance operations”, while “Uruguay is the country that has the largest number of forces deployed for the individual.”

Wang said that the armed forces of China and Uruguay “should work more side by side and enhance their cooperation.”

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 37 years ago, cooperation between its armed forces has advanced at the level of higher dialogue, and the training of employees and professional exchanges “continuously”.

For her part, Sandra Lazo, Uruguay Minister of Defense, told Xinhua as part of the reception that the relationship between Uruguay and China is “very good” and exceeds cooperation in defense.

He said that the concept of a joint future society proposed by China “is nothing more or less than thinking about global peace in a key that each of the people decide their fate and has self -identification, but it is considering a common destination.”

Lazo reaffirmed his willingness to expand bilateral cooperation in defense.
