Investing.com – British shares fell at close on Monday; Decline in sectors, pushing indices down.
At the close in London, it was down 0.14%.
Among the top performers of the session was Carnival PLC (LON :), which rose 8.24% or 118.5 points to settle at 1,556.5 at the close. It was followed by International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (LON 🙂 which rose 7.06% or 11.71 points to close at 177.46, followed by Tui AG (LON 🙂 which rose 7.61%, 27 and 14 points until the close of the session. At 383.94.
At the bottom of the index was GMK Norilskiy Nikel PAO DRC (LON :), which fell 8.85%, or 3.38 points, to close at 34.81. Okado group For its part, PLC (LON 🙂 shares fell 6.29%, 161.00 points, and closed at 2398.00, while Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust PLC (LON 🙂 lost 5.73%, 77.08 points, and closed at 1,268.92.
The Reds outperformed the green numbers on the London Stock Exchange by 1415 versus 929, and 82 was flat.
Gold futures for April delivery rose 1.70%, or 30.20, to $ 1,807.60 an ounce. Regarding other commodities, crude oil futures for April delivery rose 3.10%, or $ 1.84, to settle at $ 61.10 a barrel, while Brent crude oil futures for May delivery rose 2.64%, $ 1.64 a barrel.
The GBP / USD was up 0.26% at 1.4050, while EUR / GBP was up 0.02% at 0.8645.
The dollar index fell 0.24% to 90,142.
