Investing.com – British stocks were higher at the close on Tuesday; Sectoral gains led the indices higher.

Best value for a session in Cannes Waseet Capital Group PLC (LON) rose 5.65%, or 66.00 points, to reach 1.00 at the close. They follow him Ocado Group PLC (LON:) which advanced 4.57%, or 30.60 points, to close at 700.00, and Antofagasta PLC (LON:), which rose 4.07%, or 58.00 points, to end the session at 1.00.
At the bottom of the index was EasyJet PLC (LON:) which fell by 2.63%, or 10.00 points, to close at 369.80. For its part, Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC (LON:) fell 2.40%, or 2.23 points, to close at 90.61, while Imperial Brands PLC (LON:) fell 1.99%, or 41.00 points, to close at 2.00. .
The green numbers outperformed the red numbers on the London Stock Exchange by a margin of 1,237 to 624, with 413 closing flat.
Gold futures for February delivery rose 1.65%, or 29.65, to $1.00 an ounce. Elsewhere in commodities, crude oil for January delivery rose 3.42%, or $2.50 a barrel, $75.67, while Brent oil for February delivery rose 3.64%, $2.84 a barrel.
The GBP/USD rose 0.77% to 1.24, while the EUR/GBP was unchanged, adding 0.04% to 0.86.
The dollar index fell 1.06% to 103.66.
