They propose to create the first accessibility science club in Corrientes

They propose to create the first accessibility science club in Corrientes in order to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities. In addition, they will hold events so that teachers, non-teachers, students and interested people can be a part of it.

No more than a month ago, the Undersecretariat for Audiovisual Content was created with the main objective of developing digital education and promoting materials in the province. The new portfolio aims to boost programming, robotics, and 3D printing, among other things.

In this framework, they seek to create a club that will facilitate access for people with disabilities with the support of educational institutions throughout Corrientes that will strive to achieve the same goal.

“The works that are being done in art schools will be done, such as the pose chair, the magnetic ring, the blind hat and the drone. We are very committed to inclusion. In this sense, we seek that the schools begin to be part of the club of teachers and non-teachers, and from Clearly school students,” commented one of the teachers who is part of the Undersecretary’s office.

“A science club for accessibility that contributes to the improvement and quality of life of people with disabilities has been proposed, and it consists not only of teachers and students but also of people who have another idea,” emphasized El Littoral.

The Secretariat consists of 10 or 12 teachers who are motivated to innovate. So, the work that we do is to see the teams that schools have and that are made with them.

In this sense, the teacher confirmed that anyone can participate in the club and that they already have people related to robotics and 3D printers.

Likewise, they made it clear that they define the physical space to have a place where it can work and progress on projects that are presented and can be applied.

“We are still defining the actual space where you will work and what project will be presented and how we will present it.”

“We have many works that have been done a few years ago from art high schools that are interesting, such as posture chairs, canes, wheelchairs and other innovations such as magnetic ring, which will definitely be added,” the teacher said.

“The main objective is to call for meetings and hold an event once a month. The idea is to work and start encouraging the different approaches that are being implemented because many questions can be contributed and we want to move forward with that.”

The Undersecretary for Audiovisual Content consists of several axes, one of which is education and training, and the other is related to content development, tools and digital platforms (where our focus is on the EducaPlay platform). The other axis is accompaniment and evaluation (existing, face-to-face and online) and, finally, knowledge management and innovation (associated with research, diagnostics and documentation guiding the implementation of digital education in schools). All this will allow to accompany regional digital inclusion programs, such as Include Future and Mitai Digital.
