Megan and Harry announced that they intend to stop working as frontline royals in January of last year. Instead, the couple pledged to become “financially independent” and divide their time between North America and Britain.
And they currently live in California, Megan’s hometown, north of Los Angeles.
According to The Times, the king’s aides believe Meghan and Harry will attend the Queen’s official birthday celebrations on June 12.
The occasion is usually celebrated with a colorful party crowd at Horse Guards Parade.
However, due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, a very miniature version has occurred in Windsor as the Queen spent her first national lockdown.
The last royal event Harry and Meghan appeared in was the 2020 Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey.
This happened at the end of March and was the last engagement of the Duke and Duchesses before stepping aside as a senior in the royal family.
Speaking to The Times, an insider of the royal family said that the Queen’s 95th birthday would be a “family event” and an official event allowing the Sussex family to attend.
According to the Daily Mail, Prince Harry had hoped to participate in the Memorial Day 2020 commemoration at the memorial, but this was banned by the Queen personally.

One insider added: “The Queen strongly supports the view that you cannot choose and choose what to do when it comes to the institution, whether you are inside – or outside of it.”
Harry, who had served as a British soldier in Afghanistan, allegedly hoped to place a wreath at the memorial as part of the service.
Instead, the Duke and Duchess are photographed laying flowers near the graves of Commonwealth Soldiers at the Los Angeles National Celebration.
The Queen’s 95th birthday comes just two days after Prince Philip, her 100th husband.
In 2020, a miniature and socially distanced version of the show was staged at Windsor Castle.
The event was marked by the presence of a detachment of the 1st Welsh Guard.
Speaking to The Times, a royal aide commented: “The current plan is for the Queen’s Birthday Parade in London to continue as usual, with the acceptance that it may need to be modified or curtailed, depending on the guidelines in effect at the time.
“But ambition and ultimate desire is to make it happen.”
Megan and Harry have agreed to stop using the titles of Royal Highness and drop their trademark SussexRoyal before stepping down as members of the royal family.
After moving to California they brought a £ 11.2 million mansion in Santa Barbara where the couple currently live.
