Northern Petroleum and Wessex eye next stage drilling in Guyane

The two AIM quoted oil and gas players that hold minority interests in the potentially significant Zaedyus oil discovery in Guyane, said today that further drilling on the licence had been slated for later this year.

Northern Petroleum completes successful well test at Ottoland

Northern Petroleum (LON:NPM) has completed an extended well test of the Ottoland oil discovery in theNetherlands, which was originally drilled in 2007 and hydraulically fractured in 2009. Permission was received to conduct the test utilising a “jet pump” to assist the flow of oil.

Northern Petroleum sells stake in Vinkega gas field

Northern Petroleum (LON:NOP) has sold its interest in the Vinkega gas field in the Netherlands for approximately €3.2 million (£2.7 million) to Canadian oil and gas group Vermilion.
