Parkmead Group upbeat on strong results from Platypus appraisal well
North Sea exploration and development business The Parkmead Group (LON:PMG) has reported strong results from its Platypus gas appraisal well, which recorded a test flow rate of 27 million standard cubic feet of gas per day per day on a 96/64″ choke.

The Parkmead Group (LON:PMG), the exploration group chaired by ex-Dana Petroleum boss Tom Cross, said this morning that drilling work had started on an appraisal well on the Platypus gas field in the UK Southern North Sea.

Exploration company The Parkmead Group (LON:PMG) has agreed a deal with Exxon Mobil to acquire a 15% interest in Blocks 48/1a, 47/5b and 48/1c in the UK Southern North Sea. These blocks contain the Platypus gas field and the Possum gas prospect.
