Xploite digs deep with £2m managed service win at Wyevale
Monday, March 17, 2008
IT services group Xploite reported today that Anix, its managed service and storage subsidiary, had picked up a three year contract worth £2 million from Wyevale Garden Centres.
Wyevale recently consolidated its two central support offices into a new headquarters in Slough, and as part of the strategic review of its operations, decided to outsource much of its IT functions to a specialist provider rather than invest in building its own dedicated data centre.
Under the terms of this new contract, Anix will provide a tier-4 data centre in London for the hosting of a range of Wyevale's back office applications including payroll, HR, accounting and stock control, delivering a comprehensive managed service that provides software costed on a per user per month basis.
Ian Smith, Xploite’s chief executive said the contract with Wyevale highlighted many of the business benefits of outsourcing and underlined Anix's position as one of the UK's strongest mid market managed services specialists.
