Tristel cleans up as full year profits soar

Pre-tax profits at Tristel rose 55% to £1.2 million last year after the infection control expert continued to work on rolling out its product range into new areas.
Tristel, which makes products using chlorine dioxide chemistry for the healthcare marketplace, said sales were up by 16% to £5.9 million.
Chief executive Paul Swinney, said: “As we expand the applications of our chlorine dioxide technology, thereby creating new products for new uses and in new areas in hospitals, we increase our potential for revenue growth. In 2008 the surfaces and ultrasound products began to make their mark within UK hospitals.”
