Thursday, June 05, 2008

Landmark agreement with a leading Chinese handset manufacturer gives Synchronica access to the world's largest mobile market

Synchronica, the mobile email specialist, has agreed a worldwide licensing agreement with a Chinese consumer electronics and handset manufacturer.

The deal covers Synchronica’s award-winning push email and synchronisation software, Mobile Gateway.

Under the terms of the deal the company will receive a 20pc share of all revenues earned by the Chinese manufacturer for the service, with a minimum of US $1.00 per handset per year.

Synchronica said the manufacturer plans to offer Synchronica Mobile Gateway as an Application Service Provider (ASP) to both business users and the mass-market of consumers.

It said the deal opened the door for its to access the rapidly growing Chinese mobile market and other developing mobile markets, such as Latin America and Africa.
