RM acquires specialist education solutions business Isis Concepts
15 May 2009
RM, the company that supplies ICT, infrastructure and services to the education sector, has expanded its portfolio of products with a deal to buy Isis Concepts for up to £2.69 million.
Isis Concepts designs and installs innovative learning spaces for individual education establishments and for the government PFI scheme, Building Schools for the Future (BSF).
RM already sells a range of Isis Concepts' education furniture and the two companies have worked jointly on a number of projects.
RM is buying Pars Commercial Holdings Ltd, the holding company which owns Isis Concepts, which last year posted revenues of £3.6 million and a pre-tax profit of £380,000.
The company will be managed as part of the group's RM Education Resources division, with the current management team remaining in place.
Terry Sweeney, RM’s chief executive, said: “As part of the group, Isis will both broaden our RM Education Resources product range and help us expand what we offer to BSF projects.”
