Kurawood hails “break through” with Floors-2-Go orders

Kurawood, the timber and wood products business, has picked up a series of orders from flooring specialist retailer Floors-2-Go Ltd, Under the terms of the deal, Kurawood will supply Floors-2-Go with its first modified timber solid flooring for retail sale in the UK. Floors-2-Go will stock and display three colours of flooring in all of their 135 stores.

The company said the initial orders were valued at £103,000 with further orders expected soon.

Roy Tilleard, Kurawood’s chief executive, said the orders were a “major break through”.

He said Floors-2-Go had shown the way forward for not only the timber industry but in its environmental policy by stocking flooring that displays the characteristics of a quality hardwood product manufactured from plantation grown sustainable softwood.
