EnCore and Star begin test work on Esmond license

EnCore Oil has moved a step closer to discovering whether it can cash in on a potential gas storage facility in the North Sea with news that test drilling is underway.

Together with 50% operator-partner, Star Energy, EnCore is hoping that drilling on the Esmond license will confirm that the underlying reservoir pressure has not risen significantly since the field was depleted and abandoned.

Drilling operations are expected to be completed in approximately 21 days.

As part of the commercial arrangements on the project, Star Energy is bearing the entire cost of drilling of this well.
