EBT Mobile eyes new revenue stream service plan deal

Tuesday, November 13, 2007

EBT Mobile, the China-based retail chain selling mobile phones and related products and services, has signed an agreement with NEW (Tianjin) Ltd to provide extended service plans in China to EBT's customers. The move represents a potential new source of revenue for the EBT as it has not previously offered these plans.

NEW is the subsidiary of N.E.W. Customer Service Companies, Inc, based in the US, a major provider of extended service plans, buyer protection services and product support programmes to over 100 million consumers in the US.

Zhang Ge, chief executive of EBT Mobile said: “This agreement makes us the only mobile phone retailer to offer extended service plans to our customers in China and is another example of the value added services we provide. We believe that these types of services will enhance customer loyalty and improve our margins.”
