Tertiary Minerals says review confirms “excellent” potential at Stourman

17 November 2009

Tertiary Minerals, the mining group whose projects include the Stourman fluorspar project in Sweden, has reported that independent analysis of the project has confirmed that it could be home to over 3 million tonnes of contained fluorspar.

Consultants from Scott Wilson are currently undertaking a scoping study at Stourman but have recently completed an assessment of the mineralisation. The firm’s analysis has put the figure at between 28 - 31 million tons, grading 11.2-12.3% Fluorspar.

Of note, Scott Wilson believes that there is considerable potential for additional tonnage beyond the existing drill grid as the flat lying mineralisation remains open in three horizontal directions away from its outcrop.

Tertiary said that when the current programme of metallurgical testwork is completed Scott Wilson would carry out a conceptual mine design, a preliminary economic evaluation of the project and complete the scoping study.
