ClearStream agrees extension to world-wide distribution deal with Cordis

ClearStream Technologies has agreed a two year extension to a world-wide distribution agreement it currently has in place with Cordis, a medical devices company owned by Johnson & Johnson.
The agreement, which has been in place since May 2006, is for Cordis to distribute the Sleek™ and Savvy® Long PTA Balloon Dilation Catheters on a world-wide basis. Both products received United States FDA approval in February 2008 and have been launched successfully in the US market.
ClearStream said it would be investing in increasing its production capability to meet the additional demand for the products.
As a result of the contract extension and its improved trading, ClearStream has been able to negotiate an increase and restructuring of its term load with Halifax Bank of Scotland. Its existing €350,000 loan has been increased to €500,000 and extended to a five year term loan.
Andrew Jones chief executive of ClearStream, said the company was delighted to have extended the agreement with Cordis and that the improved bank facility was a reflection of the bank's growing confidence in ClearStream’s current trading performance.”
