Clean Air Power secures significant US patent grant

Clean Air Power, the developer of Dual-Fuel™ combustion technology that enables heavy-duty diesel engines to run on a combination of both diesel and natural gas, has received approval of a further US patent for its technology.
The patent is titled: 'Method and Apparatus for Controlling Transition between Operating Modes in a Multimode Engine’, and covers the future development of Dual-Fuel technology.
Dual-Fuel combustion technology, developed by Clean Air Power, is one example of a multi-mode engine, enabling heavy-duty diesel engines to run on a combination of both diesel and natural gas. It is imperative that multi-mode engine transitions between various modes are smooth and controlled to allow for seamless engine power output, which is achieved by Clean Power's technology.
A corresponding European patent application, published under EP1631739 is in progress.
