Broca to build on early revenues but losses widen

Broca, the mobile data technology specialist that de-merged from AIM peer 2ergo plc last year, said today it was building on early revenues with a number of substantial pilot schemes and was strengthening its sales pipeline in Europe and Asia.
Announcing half year figures for the period to 29 February 2008, the company said revenues were £28,503 compared to £1,200 in the second half of 2007. The loss before tax was £0.8 million, compared to £0.7 million in the second half of 2007, in line with the board's expectations.
Broca’s chief executive, Ian Price, said: “The company has made important progress during the period, seeing its technology used in live consumer pilots by a number of significant companies. Broca is continuing to exploit its unique technology and has a healthy pipeline of major prospects.”
