Boomerang says RTS Children’s Programme Award demonstrates portfolio strength

18 March 2009

Independent TV production group Boomerang Plus won the Children's Programme Award at the Royal Television Society Programme Awards 2009 last night for its S4C commissioned programme ABC 'H'.

These prestigious awards span all genres of television programming, from soaps to history, and children's fiction to comedy performance.

Huw Eurig Davies, chief executive of Boomerang, said the award demonstrated the group's strong, multi-genre portfolio of programmes and its ability to produce high quality programming for major broadcasters.

ABC 'H' is produced by Boomerang, which is also responsible for Planed Plant (Children's World), the live children's broadcast continuity service for Welsh language broadcaster S4C. ABC 'H' is a pre-school series that uses a mixture of live action puppetry and animation to introduce children to the Welsh alphabet in a fun and innovative way.
