Block Shield shares suspended pending annual report publication

Shares in AIM-listed electronics group Block Shield Corporation, were suspended this morning after the company failed to hit a deadline to get its annual report published.
Block Shield said its reports and accounts for the year ended February 29 2008 had been delayed pending completion of the outstanding work required to finalise the accounts in accordance with the technical requirements of IFRS.
The accounts are the company's first time adoption of the IFRS reporting requirements for its full year accounts.
The delay left Block Shield in breach of AIM Rule 19 to publish its audited report and accounts by August 29. The company said it was aiming to post the documents to shareholders as soon as possible in September.
