Beowulf Mining cheered by latest ore tests from Lulepotten copper-gold deposit

19 November 2009

Beowulf Mining, the AIM and Aktietorget traded mining group which owns several exploration projects in Sweden, has reported positive results from flotation tests conducted on ore extracted from its Lulepotten copper-gold deposit in Northern Sweden.

Beowulf has been working with Minpro in Sweden to carry out the test work in order to prove the viability of its ore for use by potential clients. The latest results show that it is relatively straightforward to process the ore into a copper concentrate – a finding that has been welcomed by the company.

Clive Sinclair-Poulton, Beowulf’s chairman, explained: “In addition to the inferred, JORC classified mineral resource of 5.4 million tonnes at 0.8% copper at Lulepotten, we have now achieved high grade copper concentrate in a laboratory environment. The very positive results from Minpro's bench scale flotation tests serve to demonstrate the commercial aspects of the project and will facilitate its evaluation by potential clients.”

The latest test results will provide the basis for a preliminary economic evaluation study of the project, following which pilot scale studies can then be planned.

Lulepotten currently forms the largest copper deposit within Beowulf’s Ballek project area, covering close to 11,000 hectares. The company recently replaced its outgoing joint venture partner Agricola Resources with Australian company, Energy Ventures.
