Augean boosts service offering with Astec buy
Monday, June 02, 2008
Augean, the company that manages hazardous waste, has cleaned up with a deal to buy Astec Chemical Waste Services Ltd for up to £1.3 million. It said the move would broaden its services to customers, geographical reach and client base.
Astec provides services in the collection, transport and disposal of chemical waste to a wide range of customers including educational establishments, chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturers, local authorities and research bodies.
The company operates from a permitted site in Rochdale in the North West of England.
Augean said the business would be integrated into its Treatment Division, where there were a number of clear cross selling opportunities.
