06 December 2006

Trading of shares in ACM Shipping Group plc, an international oil transportation broker, has commenced on AIM following a placing that raised £7.6 million.

ACM Shipping Group, capitalised at £25 million joins the two other larger and more diversified London listed ship brokers, Braemar Seascope Group plc (BMS) and Clarkson plc (CKN). ACM specialises in tanker broking but has stated a strategic intent to broaden its activities to compete with Braemar Seascope Group and Clarkson.

Johnny Plumbe, Chief Executive of ACM, commented:

'We are delighted to be joining the AIM market. Our new shareholders have recognised the Company's success having been profitable for the 24 years since it was founded. We look forward to the continued growth of the Company and hope that incentivising our staff will enable us to expand our market share in current and new shipping markets.'
